Utilizing the Power of Charcoal

Top quality charcoal made from Kishu Ubame Oak was incorporated into fibers and woven into a towel. This genuine and rustic coloring is an expression of Japan's "Wabi-sabi" that cannot be replicated by chemical dyes.

Natural Dye Towel

Dyeing Towels of Bounties of Nature

We used only natural ingredients such as herbs and wild plants to carefully dye our unbleached organic cotton yarn using an old tie-dye techniques. The dyed yarn is woven into unbleached organic cotton pile to create sturdy yet beautiful towels. The natural color shadings gives the earthy and rustic flair.

Soil Dye Organic Gauze & Pile

Born from Ancient Techniques and Appreciation for the Land

We used pure soil and minerals to carefully dye unbleached orange cotton, weaving this to a double-face combining gauze with terry loops respectively on the front and back. The ancient dye method is gentle to the environment, and the tones gradually evolve with each wash to give it depth.

The texture of Horizontal Ridge Pile is described as dense, firm, voluminous, lush and dry - catered for someone who prefers heftier towels.
This substantial texture was created by weaving the pile material into horizontal ridges using thicker yarn with a 16 count was used emerged alternatively on the front and back of the towel.
